From the Heart is a sculptural light installation featuring a heart sculpture that pulses with light when visitors interact with it. The heart rests on a pedestal that contains a mailbox, inviting visitors to write a message “from the heart” and place it inside. When a note is inserted, it crosses a hidden sensor that activates the heartbeat effect – a brief pulse of light responding to their interaction. The mailbox becomes a metaphor for both communication and secrecy – perhaps a safe space for unspoken thoughts, personal reflections or wishes intended for others to receive.
This installation is envisioned as the beginning of a larger, travelling project that invites participants from around the world to connect with their emotions by writing heartfelt messages. These collected messages will later be transcribed and published on this website.
